However, the enduring dualism between religious knowledge and science continues to hinder the holistic development of learners. This conceptual literature study aims to analyze the theoretical frameworks, pedagogical models, and contemporary practices of integrating faith-based values with scientific literacy in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Grounded in transformative education theory and the epistemology of the unity of knowledge, this research synthesizes academic discourse from journals published between 2019 and 2024 and analyzes it in relation to KMA No. 184 of 2019 and KMA No. 374 of 2022. The analysis identifies two central themes: (1) epistemological reconstruction to bridge revelation and scientific inquiry; and (2) integrative curriculum design. This study addresses the gap by critically examining the conceptual foundations and policy directions for integrating faith and science in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Using a qualitative library research design, this study employs a twofold analytical approach. First, it conducts a conceptual analysis of the theory of interconnected knowledge (tauhid) and transformative education. Second, it performs a critical policy analysis of the national madrasah curriculum (KMA 183 and KMA 347) and related pedagogical documents to evaluate their alignment with these conceptual aspirations. The findings propose a robust conceptual framework for integration based on three pillars: (1) a thematic-curricular pillar that operationalizes the relationship between Qur’anic verses (ayat al-qur’aniyyah) and natural phenomena (ayat al-kauniyyah) within instructional design; (2) a pedagogy-competency pillar outlining principles for developing teacher capacity in integrative teaching; and (3) an action-oriented praxis pillar that connects integrated learning to social justice and environmental stewardship. This study concludes that madrasahs possess a unique epistemological advantage for holistic education. To realize this potential, curriculum policy must be strengthened with explicit, practical models that translate the vision of faith-science integration into actionable guidance for teachers. This research contributes a conceptual framework and policy recommendations to advance madrasah education toward its mission of nurturing Indonesia’s young generation.
2026-03-01T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Fina Wardani, Siti Khodijah Nurul Aula https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1780 Empowering Islamic Studies through Arabic Language Education: An OBE and SDG-4 Approach towards Global Peace and Humanity 2026-03-08T17:21:53+07:00 Sovia Fahraini sovifahra@gmail.com
Arabic language learning has a strategic position in Islamic studies because it is the main means of understanding the Qur'an, Hadith, and Islamic scientific heritage. However, the degradation of academic ethics shows a separation between knowledge and morality, so that a learning paradigm that unites cognitive, affective, and spiritual aspects is needed. This study aims to develop a conceptual model of the integration of faith values in Arabic language language learning to strengthen academic ethics and social sustainability. The method used is a conceptual approach (conceptual research) through a literature review of Islamic education theory, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The results of this study are [1] Empowerment of Islamic studies through Arabic language education, [2] Integration of the OBE approach to ensure learning outcomes that include linguistic, spiritual, and social competencies, [3] Synchronization of OBE and SDG-4 to realize quality, character-based, and globally oriented Islamic education, [4] Implications for global peace and humanity through the development of moral awareness, empathy, and religious moderation. This condition demands a revitalization of education through a more holistic approach. This research aims to analyze the urgency of integrating deep learning and love curriculum in education, identify the contribution of each approach, and formulate an integrative model that can support the realization of a healthy, smart, and characterful generation. The research method used is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, conducted through a systematic search of academic literature, books, and education policy reports from the last ten years. The results show that deep learning contributes significantly to improving critical, reflective thinking and 21st century skills, while the love curriculum plays an important role in building learners' character, empathy and emotional health. Further analysis shows that the integration of the two can lead to a holistic education model that balances cognitive and affective development and creates a meaningful, reflective and caring learning climate.
2026-03-08T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Ahmad Suryadi https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1694 Integration of the Qur’an and Science: Building a Holistic Learning Model in the 21st Century 2025-12-16T17:42:31+07:00 Febri Widiandari febriwidiandari74@gmail.com
The development of science and technology in the 21st century demands that education should not only focus on cognitive mastery but also on strengthening spiritual and moral values. In the era of globalization and digital transformation, the moral and spiritual foundations of students are increasingly challenged by individualistic and materialistic values. Local wisdom, as an indigenous source of ethical and moral guidance, provides contextual approaches to strengthening faith and knowledge integration within educational practices. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, involving teachers, students, and community leaders as informants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that local wisdom practices, such as community cooperation (gotong royong), environmental care, and religious rituals, significantly contribute to developing students’ spiritual and intellectual balance. The integration of faith and knowledge is realized through contextual learning models that link religious values with scientific understanding and local culture. This approach promotes not only cognitive development but also moral, emotional, and social maturity among students. The study concludes that local wisdom can effectively serve as a pedagogical bridge that harmonizes religious faith and scientific knowledge in character education.
2026-03-08T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Wikan Sasmita, Revalina Yulia Indarti, Nursalim, Etty Andyastuti, Agus Widodo, Suratman, Fitta Nurisma Riswandi https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1733 The Concept of Character Education by Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani in His Works and Its Relevance to The Profile of Rahmatan Lil Alamin Students 2025-12-20T17:31:14+07:00 Rangga Iskandar Dinata ranggaiskandar008@gmail.com Arif Zefrizen zefrizen9@gmail.com Raisa Zuhra Salsabila Awaluddin raisazuhra9@gmail.com Muti’ah Fadillah mutiahfadillah075@gmail.con
This study aims to analyze Sheikh Nawawi al-Bantani's concept of character education in the books Maraqil Ubudiyah and Nashoihul Ibad, explore the values of character education contained therein, and analyze and evaluate its relevance to the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Student Profile. Azhar Kholidi zharkholidi.cendekiaedu@gmail.com
The environmental crisis currently affecting the globe is not merely a technical and ecological problem, but also affects
the spiritual and moral dimensions of humanity universally. This research elaborates on the interrelation between humans, God,
and nature in the agricultural world based on insights from the concept of agriculture in the Qur'an, using thematic interpretation
analysis. These insights emerge from the degradation of farmers' (anthropogenic) activities that are environmentally unfriendly,
exploitative-egocentric, and the loss of spirituality with God in agriculture. The novelty of this research lies in the concept of agro
ecotheology, which focuses on how to internalize the role and relationship between humans, God, and agriculture to achieve
balance in the universe. This study explores the concept of land mapping (mapping of the ground) in Surah Al-A'raf [7]: 58 as a
research object with a thematic interpretation approach. The concept represents the relationship between three significant and
interrelated entities: God, humans, and nature, in preserving the agricultural ecology from destruction. From this understanding,
the concept of "Agro-ecotheology" is introduced as a solution to environmental degradation issues in agriculture within a theological
framework aimed at achieving sustainable agricultural development. This research is a qualitative library research study using
the maudhû’i interpretation method. This method is used to explore the concept of agriculture in the Qur'an through thematic
interpretation with an Eco farming sustainable theory approach. The combination of agricultural concepts with sustainable eco
farming based on the Qur'an is a combination of the relationship between: God, humans, and nature. In the Qur'an, all are subjects
of God's creatures who have the same rights and obligations, so nature is not an object but a facility given by God. A misguided
understanding of religion considers that protecting the agricultural environment is not a form of worship, so it is neglected and
does not even have a place in religion. This causes humans to be indifferent because it is not a command from God and is not part
of their beliefs. Therefore, an ecological concept of agriculture through sustainable eco-farming based on the Qur'an is needed to
maintain stability and relevance between nature, plants, and humans.
2026-04-10T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Sopiyan Iqbal, Muh. This paper proposes a theology of innovation as a faith-based
paradigm to rehumanize educational progress and institutional leadership. Drawing upon Qur’anic ethics, particularly the
principle of khair al-ummah (the best community that enjoins good and prevents harm), this conceptual study reinterprets
innovation as a divine mandate rooted in amanah (trust) and ‘ilm (knowledge). Creativity in spatial design and innovation in digital marketing strategies are essential elements that strengthen the competitiveness of this business. From the perspective of Islamic business ethics, all forms of creativity and innovation must be evaluated to ensure alignment with the principles of justice (‘adl), honesty (amanah), and avoidance of gharar (excessive uncertainty) that may cause harm. This study aims to analyze the creativity and innovation of pop-up cafe businesses from the perspective of Islamic business ethics. The research employs a qualitative approach with a library research method, reviewing literature including the Qur’an, Hadith, classical fiqh books on muamalah, and contemporary literature on Islamic business ethics, creativity, and entrepreneurship innovation. The results indicate that creativity in pop-up cafe businesses includes aspects of spatial design, product concepts, and consumer experiences, while innovation encompasses service development, digital marketing strategies, and flexible operational models. From the perspective of Islamic business ethics, all these aspects comply with the principles of justice (‘adl), honesty (amanah), and prohibition of gharar, provided they do not involve fraud, waste, or consumer exploitation. Thus, creativity and innovation oriented toward maslahah (public benefit) can serve as the foundation for developing pop-up cafe businesses that are just, sustainable, and prosperous (falah).
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Nuryani Nuryani, Noremilia Noremilia https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1630 Paper Opacity as a Key Parameter in the Design of Eco-Friendly Printed Packaging 2025-12-07T21:29:54+07:00 Juwairiah Juwairiah juwairiah@polimedia.ac.id
Paper opacity is one of the crucial optical factors that determines visual quality in printed products, particularly in the packaging industry. This study aims to analyze the role of paper opacity in maintaining information readability, graphic design clarity, and supporting the concept of environmentally friendly packaging. The research employed a mixed-method approach combining quantitative experiments and qualitative studies. In the experimental stage, three types of eco-friendly paper with grammages of 80 g/m², 100 g/m², and 120 g/m² were tested for their opacity levels using an Opacity Tester based on ISO 2471 standards. Furthermore, print test results of colors and texts were evaluated by a panel of graphic designers and consumers through perception surveys. The findings reveal that higher grammage paper demonstrated better opacity, but increasing grammage does not always align with the efficiency of eco-friendly material usage. The 100 g/m² paper provided the most optimal results, with an average opacity of 92%, text readability of 94%, and a satisfaction rate of 91% among panelists. From a sustainability perspective, this paper also proved more efficient compared to 120 g/m², as it reduces raw material consumption. Consumer perceptions indicated that packaging with higher opacity was considered more professional, easier to read, and reinforced the image of sustainable products. The study concludes that paper opacity plays a significant role in the design of eco-friendly printed packaging. Selecting paper with optimal opacity not only enhances visual quality and readability but also supports material efficiency and reduces environmental impact. These findings may serve as a reference for graphic designers, printing producers, and packaging industry stakeholders in determining material standards that balance print quality and environmental sustainability.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Juwairiah Juwairiah https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1797 Religion and Social in The Perspective of Sharia Economic Law 2026-05-16T13:00:59+07:00 Fajariah Fajariah fajariah@iaidarussalam.ac.id
Religion and social aspects are two fundamental dimensions that shape the structure of human life. Using a normative-philosophical qualitative approach through the study of classical and contemporary maqasid texts, PAI curriculum documents, MUI fatwas on environmental issues, as well as academic literature and national education policies, this research employs content analysis, thematic analysis, and hermeneutics. The findings indicate that applying the principles of hifz al-din, al-nafs, al-‘aql, al-mal, al-nasl, al-bi’ah, and al-‘ird within the curriculum can shape students to be religious, well-charactered, environmentally conscious, and socially just. The implementation of a maqasid-based curriculum can be realized through social-ecological project-based learning, cross-sector collaboration, and strengthening the role of educational institutions such as green pesantren and eco-mosques. This study asserts that the maqasid approach provides both theoretical and practical foundations for reforming Islamic Education toward a model that is responsive to global challenges, thereby fostering a competitive generation committed to sustainability and social justice.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Ficky Uwais Alqarny https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1798 The Harmonisation of Customary Law and Islamic Law in The Resolution of Family Disputes 2026-05-16T13:10:10+07:00 Abdul Rahman Ramadhan abdulrahmanramadhan95@gmail.com
Legal pluralism in Indonesia reflects the richness of normative systems that coexist between state law, Islamic law, and customary law. In the context of family dispute resolution, especially those related to marriage, inheritance, and divorce, overlapping jurisdictions and fundamental normative differences often give rise to complex legal issues. This article aims to analyse and propose a model for harmonising customary law and Islamic law in the resolution of family disputes in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative approach with juridical-normative and socio-legal methods, through analysis of legislation, religious court decisions, and community-based dispute resolution practices. The results of the research show that Islamic law and customary law actually have strong common ground in the principles of justice, benefit, deliberation, and social balance. However, tensions arise when local customary values clash with universal Islamic norms. In practice, many communities still prioritise customary-based resolution before bringing cases to religious courts, indicating a social preference for mechanisms that are considered more restorative and rooted in local wisdom. The harmonisation strategies offered include an integrative approach based on maqaid al-syari'ah, recognition of customary law that does not conflict with sharia principles, and strengthening the role of customary-religious mediators as a bridge between the two legal systems. The harmonisation of customary law and Islamic law is not intended to eliminate differences, but to optimise the role of both in creating substantive justice for Indonesian Muslim families. Thus, legal pluralism can become an integrative potential in strengthening a family dispute resolution system that is fair, contextual, and rooted in a diverse national legal identity.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Abdul Rahman Ramadhan https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1751 The Influence of Arabic Religious Lectures on Changes in Sundane Language Style in Religious Communication Among The Alpha Generation 2025-12-21T05:11:52+07:00 Lutvi Ali Sahana Anggian lutvialisahana@gmail.com Siti Julaeha sjulaehazha@gmail.com
This study explores the influence of religious lectures in Arabic on changes in Sundanese language styles in religious communication among the Alpha Generation. As the use of Arabic in lectures becomes more widespread, especially among santri, there appears to be a shift in the way the Alpha Generation speaks in religious contexts. The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of Arabic religious lectures on the use of Sundanese language styles and how this affects religious communication among the younger generation. This research uses a sociolinguistic approach with a qualitative method, which involves observation, indepth interviews and analysis of the lecture texts. The results show that Arabic religious lectures encourage the use of Arabic words in daily conversation, code-switching between Sundanese and Arabic, as well as changes in language style that are more formal and religious. These changes occur as a form of Generation Alpha's adaptation to the needs of religious communication, where Arabic is seen as a strong religious symbol. This research contributes to sociolinguistic studies by highlighting the interaction between language and religious identity in the context of the Alpha Generation, and provides insight into the dynamics of language change in religious environments.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Lutvi Ali Sahana Anggian, Siti Julaeha https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1613 An Analytical Study of Solutions to LGBT Issues From The Perspectives of Islamic Law, Human Rights, and Positive Law in Indonesia 2025-12-05T14:10:39+07:00 Nurun Najwa Qurrata'ayna 230101020065@mhs.uin-antasari.ac.id Muhammad Taha Madani madanitaha154@gmail.com
The phenomenon of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) in Indonesia has become an increasingly prominent social and legal issue, driven by advances in technology and greater freedom of expression in the public spaces. Although parts of the global community are increasingly accepting of non-heterosexual orientations, most people in Indonesia still reject them, seeing them as incompatible with religious and cultural norms. This study aims to analyze the LGBT phenomenon from three main perspectives; human rights, Islamic law, and Indonesia’s positive law, in order to find common ground between individual freedom and the moral boundaries upheld by religion and the state. This study employs a normative legal method with a conceptual approach, drawing on literature reviews, statutory regulations, and Islamic legal doctrine, particularly the principles of maqasid al-syari‘ah. The findings indicate that, under Islamic law, LGBT behavior falls under the category of al-fawahish (indecent acts), which contradicts human fitrah (natural disposition) and may be subject to hadd or ta’zir penalties. Under Indonesia’s positive law, sexual orientation is not directly criminalized, but same-sex indecent acts may still be subject to criminal penalties under the Indonesian Criminal Law. From a human rights perspective, individual freedom is recognized but remains limited by moral values, religion, and public order, as stipulated in Article 28J of the 1945 Indonesian Constitution. Therefore, the response to the LGBT phenomenon must be comprehensive and humane, balancing the protection of individual rights with the enforcement of moral norms through legal, educational, and guidance approaches grounded in religious and humanitarian values.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Nurun Najwa Qurrata'ayna, Muhammad Taha Madani https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1799 Mosque Management in Islamic Character Building 2026-05-16T13:21:59+07:00 Nur Musyarofah nurmusyarofah87@gmail.com Ismi Nurlaily Mahfudhoh nurmusyarofah87@gmail.com Kuni Rofiqoh nurmusyarofah87@gmail.com Achmad Nur Salim nurmusyarofah87@gmail.com Ulfah Khoirun Nasywaa nurmusyarofah87@gmail.com Akhmad Abi Yazid nurmusyarofah87@gmail.com Akhmad Abi Yazid nurmusyarofah87@gmail.com Mulinni'mah Nadirasari nurmusyarofah87@gmail.com Siti Fatimah nurmusyarofah87@gmail.com Bahrun Ali Murtopo nurmusyarofah87@gmail.com Agus Salim Chamidi nurmusyarofah87@gmail.com
The purpose of this study is to analyze the management of the Baiturrohim Prembun Mosque, Kebumen Regency in developing Islamic character. Global frameworks, such as UNESCO’s vision of education for global citizenship and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4.7), emphasize the need for learning that fosters empathy, tolerance, and social responsibility. Yet in practice, many faith-based early childhood institutions remain exclusive to a single tradition, offering little space for interfaith encounters. At the same time, young children grow up immersed in digital environments where algorithm-driven content often amplifies intolerance, apathy, and disconnection from social and ecological realities. This paper, utilizing qualitative conceptual synthesis and document analysis, proposes the Love-Based Curriculum (KBC), a conceptual framework structured around five integrated core values, for integrating interfaith values into early childhood education. By rooting early learning in shared ethical and spiritual principles across religious traditions, this approach aims to nurture empathy, care, and ecological awareness while countering risks of intolerance in the digital era. This contribution highlights the potential of culturally grounded yet globally relevant pedagogy to prepare young children for an increasingly complex and diverse world.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Yuyun Libriyanti https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1801 Rainer Forst’s Concept of Tolerance and Its Implications towards Islamic Religious Education Learning 2026-05-16T13:44:29+07:00 Zuhari Harsyah harsyahzuhari@gmail.com
Islamic Religious Education (PAI) should play a role in preventing cases of intolerance by instilling an attitude of tolerance. However, this role is sometimes tarnished by the behavior of some PAI teachers who exhibit intolerant attitudes. Based on a recent survey from the Center for the Study of Islam and Society (PPIM) UIN Jakarta, the majority of Muslim teachers in Indonesia tend to hold quite high intolerant and radical opinions. Teachers play a primary role in learning and have a significant influence on the learning process and design. Therefore, it is important for teachers to be tolerant figures and implement PAI that encourages the growth of an attitude of tolerance. The purpose of this research focuses on discussing the concept of tolerance according to Rainer Forst and how this theory can be implemented in PAI, both in the context of the teacher's role, materials, and learning models. The method used is a qualitative research with the Study Literature Research model. The findings: first, teachers have a role in fostering an attitude of active tolerance. Second, the learning materials are inspired by the concept of peace in Islam, which highly upholds a sense of tolerance (Islam rahmatan lil'alamin). Third, a relevant learning model for developing students' active tolerance is Problem-Based Learning. Tolerant Islamic Religious Education can be the answer to the problem of tolerance through an inclusive and tolerant religious education pathway.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Zuhari Harsyah https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1802 Measuring Faith Across Cultures: Development and Validation of a Religiosity Scale for Indonesian Adolescents 2026-05-16T14:21:09+07:00 Diah Nova Anggraini diahnovaanggraini@mail.ugm.ac.id Nugraheni Iswara Adi diahnovaanggraini@mail.ugm.ac.id Gabriella Annira Kristy diahnovaanggraini@mail.ugm.ac.id Hari Maryanto diahnovaanggraini@mail.ugm.ac.id Munawaratul Fi’liyah diahnovaanggraini@mail.ugm.ac.id Wahyu Widhiarso diahnovaanggraini@mail.ugm.ac.id
Indonesia is a country where nearly the entire population adheres to a particular religion, making religiosity a central aspect of daily life. Religiosity is a multidimensional construct that plays a crucial role in adolescent development, particularly in contexts where religious beliefs and practices are deeply embedded in cultural identity. Despite its significance, measurement tools for religiosity in Indonesia remain limited, especially those designed to capture the construct across diverse religious backgrounds. This study aimed to develop and validate a multidimensional religiosity scale for Indonesian adolescents. A total of 209 adolescents from various regions in Indonesia participated in the study. Psychometric evaluation involved Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), and reliability testing conducted using Jamovi. While the EFA initially suggested a four-factor structure, CFA confirmed a five-factor model consistent with Pearce, Hayward, and Pearlman’s (2017) theoretical framework. The five dimensions included religious belief, religious exclusivity, personal practice, external practice, and religious salience. The revised multidimensional model demonstrated satisfactory fit indices (CFI = 0.932; TLI = 0.919; RMSEA = 0.061; SRMR = 0.053). Reliability analysis further indicated strong internal consistency, with both Cronbach’s &alpha and McDonald’s &omega exceeding the recommended threshold of 0.70. These findings demonstrate that the developed scale is both valid and reliable for assessing adolescent religiosity in Indonesia. The study contributes theoretically by expanding cross-cultural research on religiosity and highlighting its multidimensional nature beyond Western contexts. Practically, it provides a robust tool for researchers, educators, and practitioners to assess the role of religiosity in adolescent development, including its implications for resilience, psychological well-being, and social engagement.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Diah Nova Anggraini, Nugraheni Iswara Adi, Gabriella Annira Kristy, Hari Maryanto, Munawaratul Fi’liyah, Wahyu Widhiarso https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1803 The Relationship Between Hedonistic Lifestyle and Consumptive Behavior Among Students 2026-05-16T14:35:24+07:00 Pomarida Simbolon pomasps@yahoo.com Nagoklan Simbolon pomasps@yahoo.com
Lifestyle helps describe a person's attitudes, values, and representation of wealth. Indonesian consumer society appears to have grown alongside the history of modernization in the economic sector, with the transformation of consumption-based capitalism marked by the rise of modern shopping centers, the fashion industry, the beauty industry, the culinary world, luxurious product advertisements, and the expanding technological shopping culture. This study aims to examine the relationship between a hedonistic lifestyle and consumptive behavior among students in 2025. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The total sample consisted of 50 respondents selected using a total sampling technique. The research instrument used was a questionnaire, and data analysis was performed using the chi-square test with a significance level of p < 0.05. In the belly of the fish, Prophet Yunus realized his mistake and immediately repented sincerely through prayer and prayer beads. Because of his sincerity, Allah SWT saved him and took him out of the fish's stomach. After recovering, he was sent again to his people, who then all believed, so that they were given life for a certain time. This story illustrates God's love for His servants who repent and is a lesson about patience and the importance of following His commands. This research specifically aims to analyze how spiritual therapy is presented in Surah As-Safaat verses 139–148, using Imam Al-Alusi's Ruh al-Ma'ani as the interpretive foundation and the theory of tazkiyyah al nafs from Ibnu Qayyim Al Jauziyyah as the analytical tool. The main research objective is to identify and formulate the core components of spiritual therapy found in the narrative of Prophet Yunus AS that are applicable to contemporary spiritual challenges. The research method is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical approach. The result of the study show that the values of spiritual therapy in Surah As-Saffat 139-148 include self-awareness, dhikr, repentance, and strengthening the transcendental relationship with God, all of which align with the highest dimension of spiritual intelligence. The integration of classical interpretation and modern psychotherapy theory demonstrates the relevance of the Qur'an as a foundation for addressing contemporary spiritual crises.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Fandi Erdiansah, Muhammad Arsyad Slamat https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1614 Sleep Deprivation and Stress: Exploring the Genomic Consequences 2025-12-05T20:36:20+07:00 Yuliana Yuliana yuliana@unud.ac.id
Sleep deprivation and stress are pervasive issues in modern society, with far-reaching consequences for physical and mental health. Recent studies have elucidated the complex interplay between sleep, stress, and genomic regulation, revealing novel insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these relationships. This review highlights the genomic consequences of sleep deprivation and stress, with a focus on the impact on gene expression, epigenetic regulation, and genomic stability. This is a narrative literature review. Articles were selected from PubMed, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. Sleep deprivation has been shown to alter the expression of genes involved in critical cellular processes, including metabolism, immune function, and neuronal signaling. Furthermore, chronic stress can lead to epigenetic changes, such as DNA methylation and histone modification, which can influence gene expression and contribute to disease susceptibility. The genomic consequences of sleep deprivation and stress have significant implications for human health, including increased risk of metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disease, and mood disorders. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying these relationships can inform the development of novel therapeutic strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of sleep loss and stress. In conclusion, sleep deprivation and stress may have genomic consequences, such as changes in DNA methylation and gene expression, which contribute to disease susceptibility.

2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Yuliana Yuliana https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1758 Mirror Neurons and Children's Moral Character Development: An Uswatun Hasanah Perspective 2025-12-21T14:57:59+07:00 Anida Magfirah anidamagfirah09@gmail.com Ahmad Ahmad Ahmad@iaidarussalam.ac.id
In neuroscience, mirror neurons constitute a specific neural system in the human brain that significantly influences Emotional Intelligence and Social Intelligence in interpersonal relationships. This concept aligns closely with the modeling framework in Albert Bandura's social learning theory. Consequently, this research seeks to advance mirror neuron theory in relation to children's moral character development, specifically through the uswatun hasanah (exemplary modeling) methodology. This study constitutes library research employing a qualitative approach, with data analysis conducted using descriptive-analytical methods. Research findings reveal that mirror neuron mechanisms strongly underpin the uswatun hasanah approach to moral character formation in children. This is evidenced through mirror neurons' inherent capacity for imitative learning. Through the mirror neuron system, individuals can replicate others' actions and emotions vicariously. Continuous implementation of uswatun hasanah with positive reinforcement strengthens neural circuit connections, including mirror neurons, thereby consolidating memories into enduring internalized values. Aligned with its theoretical foundation, exemplary modeling remains the most efficacious method for cultivating children's moral, spiritual, and social development. Thus, the uswatun hasanah method effectively guides children toward consistently virtuous behavior and noble character.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Anida Magfirah, Ahmad Ahmad https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1806 Ke-Jogja-an Philosophy as a Spiritual Approach in Tourism Services: Implications for Tourist Experience Theory 2026-05-16T15:00:30+07:00 Eka Nur Wahyu Setyorini eka0016pasca.2023@student.uny.ac.id Putu Sudira eka0016pasca.2023@student.uny.ac.id
This study investigates the function of the 'Ke-Jogja-an' philosophy as a spiritual approach within tourism services, and its implications for the theory of tourist experience. This obedience is the foundation for obtaining the blessings of knowledge and leading students to success and true happiness in this world and the hereafter. Specifically, in Imam al-Ghazali's view, even though the Masyayikh's guidance sometimes seems inappropriate, it is still better and more beneficial than taking steps based on the student's personal views, because the teacher's guidance is based on more mature spiritual experience.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Maulana Muhamad Hakim, Achmad Roysul Rohim https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1808 Nidhal Guessoum's Criticism of The I'jaz Approach as A Model for The Integration of Islam and Modern Science 2026-05-16T15:32:40+07:00 Erni Puryati Ningsih ernipuryatin@gmail.com
This study discusses Nidhal Guessoum's criticism of the I'jaz 'Ilmi approach as a model for integrating Islam and modern science. According to Guessoum, the I'jaz approach is methodologically problematic because it forces a fit between verses of the Qur'an and temporary scientific findings, and stems from a lack of religious and scientific literacy. Supporters of I'jaz often interpret mutasyabihat verses as muhkam verses, resulting in a single claim that precludes multiple interpretations. Guessoum emphasizes that modern science is empirical, falsifiable, and constantly evolving; therefore, it is inappropriate to treat the Qur'an as an encyclopedia of science. As an alternative, Guessoum offers an integration model through the Softly Overlapping Magisteria (SOMA) approach, which sees a flexible connection between the realms of religion and science without negating each other. This model requires a deep understanding of scientific methods, the philosophy of science, and the rules of Qur'anic interpretation. At the same time, he proposes a multilevel reading method for cosmic verses, which allows for a variety of interpretations according to the level of reasoning, scientific development, and scientific authority of the interpreter. Guessoum criticized five major errors in I'jaz, ranging from the inability to distinguish between facts and scientific theories to the tendency to give narrow meanings to the texts of the Qur'an. According to him, healthy integration must be built through a contextual understanding of the Qur'an, the strengthening of a science curriculum based on the philosophy of science, and intensive dialogue between scientists, scholars, and educators. The ultimate goal is to build a harmonious relationship between modern science and Islam, which preserves the sanctity of revelation while supporting the development of knowledge that is beneficial to the people.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Erni Puryati Ningsih https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1809 Analyzing Sandra Harding’s Standpoint Epistemology through the Lens of Islamic Epistemology on Knowledge 2026-05-16T15:36:35+07:00 Nadaa Afifah Silmi nadaaafifahsilmi17@student.afi.unida.gontor.ac.id Syamsuddin Arif nadaaafifahsilmi17@student.afi.unida.gontor.ac.id
Sandra Harding’s standpoint epistemology has emerged as a significant critique of modern scientific claims to neutrality and objectivity. However, this framework also raises fundamental philosophical concerns, particularly regarding truth relativism and the fragmentation of epistemic authority. The urgency of this research lies in offering an alternative epistemological framework that not only exposes the inherent biases of Western science but also provides an integral and transcendent foundation for knowledge. Islamic epistemology, grounded in the principle of tawhid (divine unity), offers a holistic conceptual framework that harmonizes rational, empirical, and revelatory dimensions as sources of truth. Nevertheless, studies that directly critique standpoint epistemology from an Islamic perspective remain rare. This research aims to examine Sandra Harding’s standpoint epistemology critically and to formulate a tawhid-based Islamic epistemology as a conceptual alternative to relativistic epistemic frameworks. Employing a qualitative method based on library research and a descriptive-analytical approach, this study further strengthens its conceptual foundation through in-depth interviews with two experts in philosophy of science and Islamic philosophy. The findings suggest that while standpoint theory effectively exposes power relations in knowledge production, it lacks the metaphysical grounding necessary to sustain a coherent concept of truth. In contrast, al-Attas’s tawhid-based epistemology provides a spiritually rooted and ontologically unified framework. This study contributes to contemporary Islamic epistemological discourse by proposing an ethically oriented and theologically grounded model of knowledge that integrates lived experience with divine revelation, offering a richer, more coherent, and genuinely objective understanding of reality.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Nadaa Afifah Silmi, Syamsuddin Arif https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1810 Queer Problems in Judith Butler's Perspective: A Model for Analysing Fitrah in the Islamic Tradition 2026-05-16T15:43:10+07:00 Jarman Arroisi sitiusbandiyah.unidaputri@gmail.com Iradah Dwi Putriani sitiusbandiyah.unidaputri@gmail.com Siti Us Bandiyah sitiusbandiyah.unidaputri@gmail.com
Queer brings new orders of identity, especially sex and gender, into a space of uncertainty where everyone can play without being trapped in one identity. This theory became one of the theories as the basis for the affirmation of the LGBTQ movement. Since identity is not a fixed thing, its mean can be determined by performative actions. This view had a significant impact on the development of queer theory and has opened up new ways to think about the relationship between language, identity and power. The main strategy is deconstruct the heteronormative norms. This research attempts to examine collective sources with an analytical-descriptive method. For performative theory, the categorisation that society has understood; there are only two sexes does not represent a variety of sexual expressions. So that society calls sexual orientation is only what is naturally known can be deconstructed so that there is no longer a stereotype says orientations that are different from what has been established are deviant sexual orientations. Erdogdu argues that every concept is embedded within its own linguistic, cultural, and metaphysical context, making absolute translation, both linguistic and conceptual, impossible. This study reconsiders his position through a faith-based epistemological lens, particularly within the framework of Islamic thought, where knowledge (ilm) is understood as both divinely revealed and humanly constructed. The paper contends that the limits of translation are not merely linguistic barriers but epistemic boundaries that reveal the diversity of human understanding shaped by revelation, reason, and culture. By examining the semantic shifts between kimlik (identity) and huviyet within Turkish intellectual history, the discussion highlights how translation across languages and worldviews can lead to subtle distortions of meaning. Comparing this with the Indonesian academic and religious context, the study underscores how faith-based values can restore conceptual integrity and humility in cross-cultural scholarship. Consequently, this paper argues that recognizing the limits of translation is essential for building a more reflective and ethically grounded social science. Rather than striving for perfect equivalence, scholars should embrace interpretive awareness that respects the spiritual and cultural origins of meaning, an approach that enriches dialogue between faith, knowledge, and the human sciences.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Titis Thoriquttyas, Nurul Ahsin https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1748 The Profanation of Religious Symbols on Television: A Case Study of Public Reactions to Trans7's Broadcasts about Kiai and Pesantren 2025-12-23T18:59:58+07:00 Khoirul Umam Addzaky khoirulumam201806@gmail.com Fakhrurrozi Fakhrurrozi fakhrurrozi@gmail.com Uswatun Hasanah uswatunh@radenintan.ac.id Ida Faridatul Hasanah ihasanah@radenintan.ac.id
The development of the media industry has led to a shift in values when sacred cultural symbols are represented in the context of entertainment oriented towards commodification. This study aims to analyze how the media profanes sacred cultural symbols, how the public responds, and how the power relations between the media and the community shape the process of producing and negotiating meaning. The research uses a Critical Discourse Analysis approach with Fairclough's three-dimensional framework, which includes text analysis, discursive practices, and social practices, and is enriched by Stuart Hall's theory of representation, Stig Hjarvard's theory of medialization, and Émile Durkheim's concept of profanation. Data was obtained through documentation of television broadcasts, online news reports, and public conversations on digital platforms, then analyzed through thematic coding, discourse mapping, and triangulation to ensure data credibility. Findings show that the media produces profanity through commodification, which shifts the function of symbols from markers of cultural value to elements of entertainment that support ratings. Visual and narrative packaging positions symbols as dramatic objects that are modified according to entertainment aesthetics without considering their inherent sacred dimensions. Public responses show polarization between groups that consider such representations to be demeaning to sacred symbols and groups that accept the transformation of symbols as part of media creativity. This polarization confirms that profanity is not only related to religious issues, but is a cultural conflict that arises from the meeting between the logic of the media industry and the sensitivities of the community. Efforts to strengthen media literacy are important to help the public understand representation practices critically, accompanied by the need for dialogue between the media and cultural communities so that the meaning of symbols is not diluted in the digital communication space.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Khoirul Umam Addzaky; Fakhrurrozi Fakhrurrozi; Uswatun Hasanah, Ida Faridatul Hasanah https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1813 Islamic Education Amidst the Challenges of Capitalism: Between Ideality and Reality 2026-05-16T16:18:04+07:00 Ais Saputra aissaputra240@gmail.com Saddam Husin saddammerangin@gmail.com Syafiul Kiram syaifulkiram3@gmail.com Erik Junaidi erickelkayeli@gmail.com Muhammad Zaenul Lael 23204092040@student.uin-suka.ac.id Muhammad Safiul Amin safiulamin39@gmail.com Muhammad Alfian muhalfian626@gmail.com Inggil Laksana el.laksana11@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the challenges of Islamic education in Indonesia in the face of global capitalism and to find solutions to restore Islamic education to its ideal purpose: to develop a generation that is intelligent, faithful, and virtuous. The research method used is a qualitative approach based on library research, which relies on secondary data sources such as books, journal articles, and related documents. The results show that capitalism in the world of education has created a gap in access, commercialization, and a shift in the orientation of Islamic education from human liberation to purely economic interests. Islamic education is often marginalized in the national education system, both in terms of policy, budget allocation, and government attention. To address these challenges, the integration of religious and general knowledge is needed through curriculum reform based on Islamic values, improved management of educational institutions, and strengthened regulations that ensure inclusive and equitable education. These reforms are expected to create an Islamic education system that is responsive to the needs of modern society without losing its spiritual values.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Ais Saputra, Saddam Husin, Syafiul Kiram, Erik Junaidi, Muhammad Zaenul Lael , Muhammad Safiul Amin, Muhammad Alfian, Inggil Laksana https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1814 "Critique of the Concept of God in Auguste Comte's Positivism Philosophy" 2026-05-16T16:26:02+07:00 Amal Fathullah Zarkasyi ahmadfarhannasution74@student.afi.unida.gontor.ac.id M. This paradigm radically rejects the existence of metaphysical entities, including God, as they are deemed unprovable through scientific means. This idea was first systematically formulated by Auguste Comte and has significantly influenced modern society’s perception of religion and spirituality. Within the positivist framework, God is excluded from the realm of scientific inquiry because He cannot be directly observed, and thus is considered irrational and irrelevant in scientific discourse. This study aims to critically examine the positivist rejection of metaphysical realities by presenting rational arguments in support of the existence of God from the perspective of Islamic philosophy. The research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach using library research methods, analyzing both classical and contemporary sources in the fields of theology and philosophy. The findings indicate that the existence of God can be logically explained through several philosophical arguments within the Islamic tradition. These include the Causal Argument, which emphasizes the necessity of a First Cause (Al-'Illah al-Ula) as well as the Cosmological and Teleological Arguments, which posit that the order and complexity of the universe point to the presence of an intelligent designer. Furthermore, Leibniz’s Principle of Sufficient Reason affirms that everything that exists must have a sufficient explanation, with the most rational explanation for the existence of the universe being the presence of an absolute and independent God.
2026-05-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Amal Fathullah Zarkasyi, M. Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), as traditional Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, are now challenged to integrate Islamic spiritual values with the spirit of nationalism in the midst of digital transformation. This study aims to analyse the objectives, concepts, and implementation strategies of integrating Islamic and national values in the reorientation of pesantren education during the digital era. Conceptually, the research is based on the principles of wasathiyah (moderation), holistic education, and digital literacy within the framework of national identity. The method used is qualitative-descriptive through a literature study of relevant books, journal articles, and reports on digital education, Islamic pedagogy, and nationalism in pesantren. The results show that pesantren have begun adapting digital tools for learning, management, and da’wah, yet face challenges related to the preservation of traditional values, teacher competence, and digital ethics. The integration of Islamic spirituality and nationalism can be achieved through curriculum reform emphasizing moral education, digital literacy, and national awareness rooted in Islamic teachings. Moreover, teachers and kiai play a strategic role as digital mentors who exemplify religious moderation and patriotism. Thus, the reorientation of pesantren education in the digital age should not only focus on technological adaptation but also on the strengthening of identity and values. Such integration will enable pesantren to produce “santri” who are digitally literate, spiritually strong, and nationally committed.
2026-06-10T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Moh In'ami, Djamaluddin Perawironegoro https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1816 The Renewal of Religious Thought and Its Urgency for the Advancement of Islamic Civilization: A Comparative Study between Yusuf al-Qaradawi and Fazlur Rahman 2026-06-10T20:10:48+07:00 Imroatul Istiqomah imroatul.istiqomah@unida.gontor.ac.id Awab Darusman imroatul.istiqomah@unida.gontor.ac.id
This study explores the renewal of religious thought (tajdid al-fikr al-dini) in Islam through a comparative analysis
of the ideas of Yusuf al-Qaradawi and Fazlur Rahman. Both scholars are prominent figures in modern Islamic reform, yet they
represent distinct epistemological orientations. Fazlur Rahman approaches renewal through a neo-modernist and
hermeneutical lens, emphasising historical contextualisation and rational reinterpretation of revelation, while Yusuf al
Qaradawi advances a practical reform based on maqasid al-shariah and fiqh al-waqi'to address contemporary socio-religious
issues. Employing a qualitative, library-based method with philosophical and comparative approaches, this research examines
the conceptual foundations, methodologies, and civilizational implications of their thought. Among these narratives, the stories of the Ulul Azmi Prophets—Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, and Muhammad (peace be upon them)—serve as exemplars of resilience that are not only spiritual and moral but also aligned with the concept of resilience in modern psychology. This article employs a library research method to systematically analyze the prophetic narratives, focusing on the resilience embedded in the life journeys of the Ulul Azmi Prophets. These narratives are compared with contemporary theories of resilience while integrating prophetic values with scientific literacy as a foundation for 21st-century education. The findings indicate that the stories of the Ulul Azmi Prophets provide more than moral lessons (ibrah); they offer a comprehensive model of resilience encompassing spiritual, moral, emotional, and transformative dimensions. Spiritual resilience is reflected in steadfast faith and obedience to Allah, moral resilience in the application of ethical principles, emotional resilience in coping with trials and adversities, and transformative resilience in the ability to create meaningful change within society. Furthermore, scientific literacy can be enriched through prophetic values, ensuring that education fosters not only rational intelligence but also ethical awareness and wisdom. This article also presents a comparative table between Ulul Azmi resilience and resilience psychology theories, alongside a model integrating prophetic values with scientific literacy. The findings offer a theoretical framework for prophetic-resilient education, balancing cognitive, moral, and spiritual dimensions while providing a holistic approach to developing competent, ethical, and socially responsible learners in contemporary society. The concept of philanthropy in Islam derives from the Qur’an and Hadith, which emphasize social responsibility and economic justice. Islamic philanthropy has unique characteristics that distinguish it from philanthropic traditions in other cultures, particularly its strong connection to worship and spirituality. In Indonesia, as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, the potential for Islamic philanthropy is enormous but has not been optimally managed. The gap between potential and realization indicates the need for innovation in the management of Islamic philanthropy to make it more effective in empowering the community’s economy. This study focuses on the impact of the digitalization of Islamic philanthropy on economic empowerment of the Muslim community, including changes in mechanisms of fundraising and distribution, the effectiveness of digital-based empowerment programs, and the real impacts experienced by beneficiaries (mustahik) in improving their economic well-being. The study also examines the challenges and opportunities in the development of digital Islamic philanthropy, including structural and technical barriers faced, as well as potentials that can be optimized for future development. Theoretically, this study is expected to enrich the discourse on Islamic philanthropy within the context of digital transformation and its contribution to economic empowerment, as well as enhance the development of contemporary Islamic economic theory that is responsive to technological advances. This research employs a descriptive-analytical method with a qualitative approach to explore in-depth understanding of the digitalization phenomenon of Islamic philanthropy and its implications for economic empowerment. The descriptive method is used to systematically and comprehensively describe the phenomenon of digital Islamic philanthropy in Indonesia—including the development of digital platforms, mechanisms of fundraising and distribution, and the empowerment programs conducted. Meanwhile, the analytical approach is used to examine the causal relationship between the digitalization of Islamic philanthropy and changes in the effectiveness of economic empowerment, identify factors influencing program success or failure, and evaluate challenges and opportunities in its digital development. The study concludes that digitalization has brought significant and multidimensional transformation. Digitalization has dramatically increased Islamic philanthropy fundraising—from only 28% conducted through digital channels in 2018 to 63% in 2023—indicating a clear shift in public preference. This increase occurred not only in percentage but also in absolute value, rising from IDR 3.2 trillion to IDR 14.3 trillion. Broader accessibility through digital platforms has expanded the donor base, including reaching Indonesian diaspora abroad who contribute 18% of total digital donations. Donation frequency has also risen significantly, with digital donors giving an average of 4.7 times per year compared to only 1.3 times for offline donors. Digitalization has improved the quality of empowerment programs through data-driven decision-making, real-time monitoring, program personalization, and peer-to-peer learning through digital platforms. Digital-based empowerment programs have proven to be far more effective, resulting in significantly higher levels of economic independence.
2026-06-10T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Ayu Puspita Sari https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1817 Islamic Boarding Schools, Religious Schools, and Religious Identities in South Jember: The Struggle of Local Traditions and Global Modernity 2026-06-10T20:59:01+07:00 Moh Syahrul Muzammil syahrulmuzammil84@gmail.com Siti Nur Haliza syahrulmuzammil84@gmail.com M Khoirul Hadi Al Asy Ari syahrulmuzammil84@gmail.com
outh Jember is known as an area rich in religious diversity, where Islamic boarding schools, religious schools, and
local religious practices interact with each other in a dynamic social landscape. On the one hand, pesantren function as a center
for traditional Islamic education and da'wah, while on the other hand, local beliefs persist as expressions of spirituality that
are firmly rooted in the culture of the community. This struggle is even more complex when global modernity through the
media, migration flows, and economic transformation presents new values that affect the construction of the religious identity
of local communities. However, previous research has tended to focus more on the dominance of pesantren as formal religious
institutions, while the dynamics of faith streams and their encounter with global modernity are still rarely explored. The struggle of women in pursuing education and economic independence did not only emerge in urban centers but also in rural areas. Within the historiography of Islamic education, there remains a significant gap regarding the role of Nahdhatoen Nisaijah, which has not received sufficient academic attention. The primary focus of this study is to examine the institutional transformation, the intellectual contributions of its prominent figures, and the concrete impacts of this institution on enhancing women’s capacities and promoting community welfare from 1922 to 2022. This research employs a qualitative descriptive design with a historical approach. The main sources consist of oral testimonies from historical actors, particularly teachers and students of Nahdhatoen Nisaijah, complemented by documents such as diaries, books, and scholarly articles. The findings indicate that the establishment of Nahdhatoen Nisaijah was driven by the urgent need of women for proper education to fulfill their individual and communal roles. Over time, Nahdhatoen Nisaijah transformed from a modest female pesantren (Islamic boarding school) into a center of education, empowerment, and socio-political struggle. The intellectual vision of its leaders reflected a progressive courage to transcend colonial patriarchy, affirming education as a medium of women’s emancipation. Digital communication has become an important pillar in educational institution information management, particularly in marketing strategies. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital communication in increasing educational customer satisfaction, as well as its impact on educational customer satisfaction, in this case madrasahs. This research was conducted at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung as a superior madrasah located in Bandar Lampung City. The main focus of this study is the effectiveness of digital communication as a process, transaction, and interaction in the context of educational marketing.

The research used a descriptive qualitative case study approach. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the digital communication implemented by Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung utilized three communication models: communication as a process, transaction, and interaction.

The findings show that 1) Communication as a process is not only used to convey information but is used to build trust and strengthen public relations through communication based on religious ethics, by prioritizing moral and ethical values, and upholding honesty in conveying information through various digital media. 2) Communication as a transaction, the formation of the Information and Documentation Management Officer Team (PPID), is an important strategy in strengthening the information exchange process. However, there are still shortcomings in the implementation of communication as a transaction, especially related to the suboptimal structured two-way communication system. Although one-way communication is still dominant, the implemented digital strategy has succeeded in building a positive image of madrasas and increasing community participation, as shown by increased public trust and the increasing number of new student applicants. 3) Communication as an interaction is carried out through various digital platforms to understand the needs of educational customers, where these results indicate that digital communication plays an important role in creating transparency, efficiency, and supporting increased customer satisfaction in the field of education, especially madrasas.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 M Risky Ranosa https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1766 Hybrid Da'wah in the Digital Era: A Semiotic Analysis of Innovative Religious Communication 2025-12-22T07:54:48+07:00 Angga Nur Rohman angganur234@gmail.com
This study investigates the phenomenon of "hybrid da’wah" as reflected in the content of the Instagram account @bachrulalam, representing an innovative form of Islamic in the digital era that integrates elements of comedy, 'kalcer' aesthetics (popular culture), and religious messages. The primary objective of this research is to gain an in-depth understanding of how the meaning of da’wah is constructed through the unique blend of these three elements within the social media context. Employing a qualitative approach, specifically utilizing semiotic analysis and qualitative content analysis frameworks, this study meticulously examines the visual and verbal signs present in selected content from the @bachrulalam account. The findings indicate that comedy not only serves as a primary attraction but also functions as an effective medium to soften the delivery of religious messages, which are often perceived as rigid. Concurrently, the integration of 'kalcer' aesthetics successfully fosters proximity with the young audience, rendering da’wah messages relevant and readily accepted. The synergy of these three components yields an innovative form of da’wah, capable of reaching a broader audience and effectively responding to contemporary communication dynamics. This research contributes to the understanding of da’wah's adaptation on social media and the potential of hybridity in disseminating religious values.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Angga Nur Rohman https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1820 Integration of Faith, Technology, and Education: Shaping a Character-Driven Generation Amid Global Change 2026-06-18T14:39:16+07:00 A. Amid these developments, faith and spirituality often receive limited attention in modern educational practices, which tend to focus more on cognitive achievement and technical competence. This condition creates an urgency to reestablish education that not only transfers knowledge but also fosters moral awareness and integrity. This conceptual study aims to examine the importance of integrating faith values in the use of technology and educational innovation to build a character-based generation in the global era. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, this study explores the relationship between spirituality, technological ethics, and character-based educational transformation. The findings indicate that faith values can serve as an ethical compass that directs the use of technology not only toward technical progress but also toward social responsibility and collective well-being. This integration also encourages the emergence of a digitally literate generation with moral awareness, empathy, and critical thinking skills. Therefore, faith-based and technology-oriented education is not merely an adaptive strategy toward globalization but a fundamental foundation for building a just, sustainable, and civilized future.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 A. While online platforms such as TikTok and YouTube democratize access to Islamic teachings, they also blur distinctions between credible scholarship and popular interpretation. This shift creates a new cognitive challenge, namely discerning religious truth and managing uncertainty amid fragmented and algorithm-driven content. Previous studies on digital religion have focused largely on emotional expression and religious performance, leaving the cognitive and evaluative dimensions of online faith engagement underexplored. This study fills that gap by examining how Muslim students assess the truth of digital religious information and how they manage doubt when facing conflicting teachings. The research, conducted at UIN Raden Intan Lampung, Indonesia, employs a qualitative field approach through in-depth interviews with four active social media users. This design allows a close understanding of students’ reflective reasoning and verification strategies in navigating online religious discourse. Findings reveal that students critically evaluate digital religious content by cross-checking sources, consulting trusted authorities, and aligning new information with established knowledge of religion. When uncertainty arises, they employ reflective and dialogic strategies, pausing, seeking clarification, and grounding their faith in scholarly tradition. These practices represent an emergent form of digital moral cognition, blending critical awareness with ethical restraint. The study contributes to the literature on digital religion and moral education by highlighting how cognitive engagement, rather than mere exposure, influences the religious understanding of young Muslims. It suggests that digital environments, despite their risks, can cultivate discernment, reflexivity, and adaptive faith learning among university students.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Roby Al Ghifari, Uswatun Hasanah, Khoirul Umam Adzakky https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1823 Toxic Friendship in the Qur’an Surah al-Furqan (Roland Barthes Semiotic Analysis) 2026-06-18T15:05:20+07:00 Meilia Geminda Br Ginting ggtgmeilia@gmail.com Azhariah Fatia ggtgmeilia@gmail.com
This research is motivated by the phenomenon of toxic friendship, a form of social relationship that has negative emotional, mental, and spiritual impacts. This phenomenon is common among adolescents and adults, and has the potential to hinder personality development and distance individuals from religious values. The Qur'an, as a guide for life, pays serious attention to the importance of choosing a good circle of friends, as reflected in QS. Al-Furqan verses 27–29. This study aims to uncover the implied meaning in the verse through Roland Barthes's semiotic approach, which includes three layers of meaning: denotative, connotative, and mythological. The method used is descriptive qualitative with library study techniques. Primary data were obtained from the text of the Qur'an and semiotic theory, while secondary data came from tafsir books and relevant scientific literature. The analysis was carried out by identifying linguistic signs in verses related to the phenomenon of toxic friendship, then analyzed through three levels of Barthesian meaning. The results show that QS. Al-Furqan verses 27–29 contain a serious warning against the negative impacts of bad company. At the denotative level, the verse conveys an expression of deep regret; connotatively, it hints at the destruction of faith due to the influence of bad friends; while at the mythical level, it affirms the importance of building social relationships aligned with divine values. These findings reinforce that the Quran not only provides spiritual guidance but also offers ethical principles for forming healthy friendships.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Meilia Geminda Br Ginting, Azhariah Fatia https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1824 Digital Era Generation-Z Political Participation (A Study of Prime Minister Election Legitimacy in Nepal via Discord from the Perspective of Fiqh Siyasah) 2026-06-18T15:08:45+07:00 Muhammad Syafiq syafiq.iaiadarussalam@gmail.com
The intersection of digital technology and political legitimacy has created unprecedented phenomena in contemporary democratic transitions. This study analyzes the September 2025 Nepal crisis, where Generation-Z successfully orchestrated Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli's resignation and supported Sushila Karki's inauguration as Nepal's first female interim Prime Minister through Discord platform coordination. Using qualitative methodology with case study approach, this research explores how fiqh siyasah concepts provide legitimacy frameworks for digital political participation. Data were obtained from credible international media sources, classical-contemporary fiqh siyasah literature, and digital democracy studies. Results indicate that Nepal's leadership transition, triggered by anti-corruption protests and social media restrictions, demonstrates alignment with Islamic political principles including syura (consultation), ijma' (consensus), and maslaha (public interest). Discord as digital deliberative space reflects modern implementation of Islamic democratic values, though formal constitutional legitimacy remains essential. This research contributes to developing Islamic political legitimacy theory in the digital era and provides new perspectives on fiqh siyasah implementation in political transitions led by digital native generations. The study reveals that 7,713 Discord participants voted, with Karki receiving 50% support (3,833 votes), marking history as the first world leader elected through a gaming platform.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Syafiq https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1719 Mitigating The Element Of Gharar In Mysterious Scoop Sales Practices On E-Commerce Platforms: A Sharia Economic Perspective 2025-12-20T21:35:05+07:00 Noor Hafizah Uhdiyati noorhafizah1992@gmail.com Nuryani Nuryani nuryani@iaidarussalam.ac.id
The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed global economic transaction patterns, including in Indonesia. One recent innovation in e-commerce is the Mysterious Scoop or mystery box, which consumers pay a predetermined price without knowing the exact item they will receive. This practice raises concerns in Islamic economics because it involves elements of gharar fahish (excessive uncertainty), which contradicts the Sharia principle of clarity regarding the object of the contract (ma'qud 'alayh). In Islamic economic transactions, freedom from riba, gharar, and maysir is fundamental to ensuring justice and mutual benefit. This study aims to analyze the forms of uncertainty (gharar) inherent in Mysterious Scoop transactions and to propose a mitigation model aligned with the principles of transparency and fairness in Islamic economics. Employing a qualitative approach through library research, the study draws upon classical and contemporary fiqh literature, usul fiqh arguments, and scholarly opinions concerning the prohibition of gharar in sales contracts. The findings reveal that the Mysterious Scoop practice contains gharar due to ambiguity regarding the object of sale. Therefore, mitigation measures are required to ensure Sharia compliance, including: (1) setting product values equal to or higher than the selling price to prevent losses; (2) requiring sellers to categorize goods based on minimum utility value and basic product specifications; and (3) restructuring the contract to clarify the nature of the transaction—whether as a gift-with-purchase, a Sharia-compliant lottery, or a limited sale model. In conclusion, this study emphasizes that mitigating gharar in Mysterious Scoop sales practice is crucial to upholding the principles of justice, transparency, and welfare in Sharia-based e-commerce practices.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Noor Hafizah Uhdiyati, Nuryani Nuryani https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1825 Analysis of Learning Evaluation Aspects in Indonesian Language Textbooks for Third-Grade Elementary School Students 2026-06-18T15:59:35+07:00 Elvara Norma Aroyandini elvaranorma@almaata.ac.id Ismanto Ismanto elvaranorma@almaata.ac.id Ruwet Rusiyono elvaranorma@almaata.ac.id Endi Rochaendi elvaranorma@almaata.ac.id Ira Dwi Rahmandani elvaranorma@almaata.ac.id Suci Rahmawati elvaranorma@almaata.ac.id Wildana Nur Afifah Luthfyah elvaranorma@almaata.ac.id Haifa 'Inayatun 'Azizah elvaranorma@almaata.ac.id Agung Darmaji elvaranorma@almaata.ac.id Abdul Fahrul elvaranorma@almaata.ac.id
This study aims to analyze the learning evaluation aspects in Indonesian Language textbooks for third-grade elementary school students. The research focuses on three main dimensions: (1) the presence of evaluations in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains; (2) the alignment between learning objectives and the forms of evaluation of the learning process and outcomes; and (3) the types of assessments used in learning activities. This study used a content analysis method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were obtained through an in-depth review of the practice sections, student activities, and evaluation instructions in the official Merdeka Curriculum textbooks. The results show that third-grade Indonesian Language textbooks no longer use multiple-choice assessments as in previous textbooks. Evaluations are now presented in the form of contextual activities that integrate comprehensive language skills, such as reading, writing, listening, discussion, imitation, and practice. Activities such as Discussing Language, Discussing New Vocabulary, and Reflecting strengthen students' cognitive and affective aspects through experiential learning. In social studies education, effective classroom management establishes order and discipline and serves as a foundation for helping students reach their full potential. However, balancing academic achievement with character development presents several challenges. Integrating humanistic learning theory with religious values offers a relevant solution to address these issues. This study examined the implementation of integrating humanistic learning theory with religious values in classroom management for social studies education students at a university in Ponorogo. A qualitative descriptive approach was used in the study. The participants consisted of 10 students from first-year to senior students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis followed an interactive model consisting of four stages: data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the integration of humanistic learning theory with religious values is evident in classroom management practices. These practices prioritize respect for student individuality, employ dialogic and participatory learning methods, and reinforce religious values such as honesty, responsibility, and tolerance. Such an approach contributes to creating a classroom atmosphere that is conducive, participatory, and meaningful. Additionally, this integration fosters active academic and social engagement among students, supporting the development of their religious and social character. This study uses a qualitative type with a case study approach, and data were obtained through in
depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Results: Takallam method is applied in Muthola’ah learning by
encouraging students to be more active in reading texts, understanding the content, while the teacher acts as a facilitator rather
than the sole source of knowledge. The learning is based on the five core values of Islamic boarding school, namely sincerity,
simplicity, Islamic brotherhood, independence, and freedom. Supporting factors: high motivation, availability of reading texts
appropriate to students' skill levels, the teacher's creative role in managing discussions and providing stimuli, and a conducive
learning environment. Inhibiting factors: students' lack of self-confidence, differences in Arabic language proficiency, limited
learning time resulting in suboptimal Takallam practice, and students' dependence on the teacher if not trained consistently.
Positive implications: enhancing critical reading skills and text comprehension, encouraging students to express understanding
independently, fostering self-confidence in learning Arabic, promoting collaborative learning while still being based on
independence. Challenges: requiring students' readiness to speak up, and with the teacher providing gradual practice.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Yuli Umro’atin, Siti Mukarohmah, Siti Julaehah https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1831 Building The Effectiveness of Arabic Language Learning Through the Internalization of Qur’anic Values 2026-06-18T16:55:51+07:00 Rani Mayasari mayarany637@gmail.com Riska Tri Lestari riskatrilestari11@gmail.com Masayu Fitri Aulya aulyamasayu66@gmail.com
Pondok Pesantren Modern Nurussalam Sidogede, one of the largest modern Islamic boarding schools in South
Sumatra with more than three decades of history, plays a strategic role in shaping knowledgeable and morally grounded
Muslim generations. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review method based on the PRISMA guide. Literature searches were conducted in the Scopus, ERIC, Scilit, Google Scholar, and GARUDA databases with related keywords. Of the 103 initial articles, 9 articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed thematically. Four main effective learning strategy approaches were found: (1) Participatory and Democratic Approaches (such as Problem-Based Learning and democratic methods); (2) Integration of Values in the Civic Education Curriculum; (3) Development of R&D-Based Learning Models; and (4) Creation of a Positive Learning Environment with teacher role models. These strategies contributed significantly to improving three learning domains: (a) students' understanding of anti-corruption cases and legal instruments increased, with one of them achieving a score of 85%; (b) the development of self-confidence, honesty, responsibility, integrity, and anti-corruption attitudes; (c) increased collaboration skills, problem-solving skills, and most importantly, the intention to report corruption. These findings strengthen the empirical basis that anti-corruption education requires an interactive, contextual, and integrated approach, going beyond mere conceptual teaching. The role of teachers as role models and the creation of a positive learning environment has proven crucial for the internalization of values. It is recommended that curriculum development and teacher training programs for anti-corruption education focus on the application of participatory strategies (such as PBL), in-depth integration of values, and strengthening the role of teachers as facilitators and models of integrity behavior to shape a generation of integrity.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Endah Binti Munawaroh, Luluk Siti Jariyah, Idang Ramadhan https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1637 Radical Hermeneutics in Transformation of Modern Educational Thoughts 2025-12-14T13:10:06+07:00 Farham Nazhib Hamdani fargamnzbhmdni88@mail.com Lisma Ayu Arditha lisma5656@mail.com Agischa Putri Agil agischa3456@mail.com Kusuma Wijaya kusuma.wijaya@unitomo.ac.id Rommel Utungga Pasopati rommel@unitomo.ac.id Anicleta Yuliastuti anicletayuliassss@mail.com
This article examines how radical hermeneutics, as articulated by John D. Caputo, Gianni Vattimo, and Richard Rorty, can transform educational thought. Caputo’s notion of hermeneutics as a practice of radical openness, Vattimo’s “weak thought” and emphasis on interpretive pluralism, and Rorty’s pragmatist call to abandon metaphysical foundations collectively challenge education’s traditional reliance on stable truths and universal frameworks. Through qualitative method, from this perspective, knowledge, curriculum, and pedagogy are reconceived not as vehicles for transmitting certainty but as dialogical processes of ongoing interpretation. Embracing contingency and interpretive multiplicity, radical hermeneutics fosters educational spaces where uncertainty becomes a resource for creativity, ethical responsibility, and democratic engagement. In conclusion, by situating learning within a horizon of interpretive freedom and solidarity, this approach transforms education into a participatory project that resists closure and prepares learners to navigate the complexities and ambiguities of contemporary life.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Farham Nazhib Hamdani, Lisma Ayu Arditha, Agischa Putri Agil, Kusuma Wijaya, Rommel Utungga Pasopati, Anicleta Yuliastuti https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1636 The Cruciality of Paulo Freire's Critical Pedagogy in 4th Goal of Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) 2025-12-14T13:06:42+07:00 Ananda Syahromi Putra ananda134@mail.com Machfianita Mirza Ayu Rosyadi machfianitamirzzza@mail.com Raffi Achmad Zaky raffizakkkky@mail.com Rommel Utungga Pasopati rommel@unitomo.ac.id Kusuma Wijaya kusuma.wijaya@unitomo.ac.id Dimas Eko Saputro dimasekooosappp@mail.com
This article investigates the crucial contribution of Paulo Freire’s critical pedagogy to the realization of the fourth goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4), which aspires to guarantee inclusive, equitable, and quality education while promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Freire’s pedagogy of dialogue, problem-posing, and critical consciousness challenges traditional “banking” models of education that reproduce passivity and inequality. Instead, it affirms education as a transformative and participatory process that enables learners to recognize structures of oppression, claim their agency, and engage in social transformation. Through qualitative method, this article underscores how Freire’s framework directly advances SDG 4 by redefining quality education as not merely the transmission of skills but as the cultivation of empowerment, equity, and democratic engagement. In contexts where poverty, exclusion, and systemic disparities hinder access to education, Freire’s pedagogy offers a praxis-oriented approach that unites literacy, critical reflection, and collective action. This article argues that embedding Freirean principles into educational policies and practices provides a robust pathway for achieving the aims of SDG 4. In conclusion, by linking education with social justice and human dignity, Freire’s model ensures that the pursuit of inclusive and equitable education becomes a genuine force for sustainable development.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Ananda Syahromi Putra, Machfianita Mirza Ayu Rosyadi, Raffi Achmad Zaky, Rommel Utungga Pasopati, Kusuma Wijaya, Dimas Eko Saputro https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1703 Implementation of School Management Information System at SMPN 2 Ciasem Subang 2025-12-18T16:20:26+07:00 Yenita Nur Wahid yenitanurwahid04@gmail.com Deyeyeni Deyeyeni deyeyeni80@gmail.com Nurul Aini nurulhaw23@gmail.com Ahmad Farihin ahmadfarihin2789@gmail.com Ibnu Athoillah myibnuath@gmail.com
This study discusses the implementation of the School Information System (SIM) curriculum with teaching staff at SMPN 2 Ciasem Subang, similar to everyday activities. The increasingly complex maintenance needs due to the growing number of
students necessitate a more effective, efficient, and sustainable management approach. This study uses a qualitative approach
through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The data were analyzed descriptively through the stages
of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that there were three main strategies
implemented by the boarding school. First, a scheduled mutual assistance system involving students, teachers, and leader in
routine maintenance activities. The implementation of this strategy has been proven to significantly reduce the frequency of
damage, improve the condition of assets to be much more livable and well-maintained, and result in considerable savings in
maintenance costs. Second, collaboration with committees and alumni through material support, expert personnel, and technical
activities such as painting dormitories by alumni during student holidays. This strategy not only improves the physical condition
of the facilities but also strengthens a sense of ownership, emotional attachment, and the sustainability of the maintenance
program. Third, collaboration with the surrounding community through monthly community service, renovations, and self
funded repairs of internal roads in the pesantren. This community involvement creates strong social capital and supports the
creation of a more organized pesantren environment. The research findings show that the implementation of innovative
participation-based strategies has a positive impact on maintenance effectiveness, cost efficiency, improvement of santri skills,
and strengthening of social relations between the pesantren and the surrounding community. In addition to increasing the
resilience and lifespan of assets, this strategy also fosters a sense of collective responsibility that forms the basis for sustainable
maintenance in the pesantren environment. The presence of soil arthropods in an area is influenced by environmental factors such as soil conditions, temperature, humidity and others. Campus II of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin has a combination of land characteristics, namely open land and green land that has the potential to become a habitat for soil arthropods. The unavailability of data on the existence of soil arthropods in the campus II area of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin requires the need to conduct research to identify species and assess the level of diversity of soil arthropod animals in order to add scientific treasures and support learning materials. This study uses the trap method (Pitfall trap) with a purposive sampling technique, which is deliberate sampling based on the environmental conditions in the field. The results of this study found 85 individuals of soil arthropods consisting of 26 species from five classes with the class Insecta being the dominant class. The environmental conditions at the research site support the existence of soil arthropods. This can be seen from the results of measuring the average temperature of 21.5ºC and the pH of the soil ranging from 6-7. Based on the calculation of the Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index, the value of H' > 1. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the peer teaching method
in Language For Fun (LFF) activities as an effort to train the pedagogical skills of Grade 2 students at MAS Wali Songo Putri.
Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving
students as subjects and actors in the learning process. The results of the study show that the implementation of peer teaching
in LFF activities provides space for students to develop teaching skills, such as compiling teaching materials, delivering
materials communicatively, and managing classroom dynamics in a simple manner. In addition, this activity also shapes
attitudes of responsibility, cooperation, and confidence, which are important foundations in pedagogical skills. Islamic values
embedded in the pesantren culture also strengthen the character of educators who are moral and oriented towards usefulness.
Thus, the peer teaching method in LFF activities has proven to be effective as a value-based learning strategy to foster
educational potential among students.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Aulia Jihan Aini https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1750 The Influence of Learning Communities on the Pedagogical Competence of Teachers at SMP Negeri 8 Yogyakarta 2025-12-21T00:36:07+07:00 Dian Azizah Sadriansyah Wijaya dianazizah.2023@student.uny.ac.id Agustina Tri Wijayanti agustina_tw@uny.ac.id Daffa Fakhri Maulana daffa551@guru.smp.belajar.id Hendri Irawan hendriirawan@mail.unesa.ac.id
Teachers play a central role in improving the quality of learning, where pedagogical competence is a crucial factor in achieving their effectiveness in teaching. However, amidst the dynamics of curriculum changes, teachers often face complex challenges, especially regarding pedagogical competence. One approach considered to be helpful is through the formation of teacher learning communities. This research aims to investigate the influence of learning communities on the pedagogical competence of teachers at State Junior High School 8 in Yogyakarta. This study is a descriptive research using a quantitative approach. The sample used consists of the entire population, totaling 61 teachers from State Junior High School 8 in Yogyakarta, with a 5% error rate. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. To test the hypotheses, simple regression techniques with t-test were employed. The results of this research indicate a positive influence of GBB learning community activities on the variation (increase/decrease) in pedagogical competence of teachers at State Junior High School 8 in Yogyakarta by 34.6%. From data processing, a regression coefficient (b) value of 0.988 was obtained, at a significance level of 5%. Furthermore, partial calculations (t-test) were conducted, revealing a calculated t-value of 5.591 with a significance value of 0.001. With degrees of freedom 59, the obtained t-table value is 1.671. As the t-table value is less than the t-value, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that learning communities partially have a significant influence on teacher pedagogical competence.
2026-06-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Dian Azizah Sadriansyah Wijaya, Agustina Tri Wijayanti, Daffa Fakhri Maulana, Hendri Irawan https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1839 The Role of Akidah Akhlak Teachers in Fostering a Positive Communication Culture to Prevent Verbal Bullying among MTs Islamiyah Modo 2026-06-18T19:54:37+07:00 Fashi Hatul Lisaniyah lisaniyah1@gmail.com Ulfah Dulfikar Ulfah92@gmail.com
The phenomenon of verbal bullying among students has become a serious challenge in the educational environment,
particularly at the madrasah level. The rapid flow of information often creates a paradox: the younger generation is increasingly technologically literate, but often loses its moral and spiritual direction. In this context, rereading the Quran as a source of global literacy is an urgent need. The Quran is not merely a religious text, but a reservoir of universal values, justice, compassion, and wisdom that can guide humans in navigating the complexities of the modern world. This research seeks to explore how Quranic literacy can be integrated with digital literacy to address contemporary educational challenges. The results show that Quranic principles such as tabayyun (clarification of information), rahmah (compassion), and hikmah (wisdom) are relevant for building an ethical, critical, and humanistic digital education ecosystem. Quranic literacy provides an ethical framework that balances technological sophistication with spiritual depth, so that education not only produces a digitally savvy generation but also one with character. Thus, rereading the Quran as global literacy is not merely a theological discourse, but a practical proposal for Indonesian and global education to shape complete human beings, both digitally literate and inspired. This transformation is key to education's resilience and even direction, amidst the unstoppable tide of digital disruption.
2026-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Abid Nurhuda, Muhammad Hariyadi, Ali Anhar Syi’bul Huda, Ahmad Hadi Pranoto, Siti Rohmah https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1725 Library and Education Collaboration: Strategies for Reawakening Students' Critical Reasoning in the Brain Rot Era 2025-12-20T15:00:11+07:00 Sela Fajar Ariani selaffajar@gmail.com Nur Husniyatul Adyani nurhadyani27@gmail.com
The brain rot phenomenon in today's digital era shows a decline in critical thinking skills due to the consumption of instant, shallow, and repetitive content. This condition is a big challenge for the world of education, which should play an important role in fostering analytical, reflective, and creative reasoning in students. However, the reality is that the current educational process often fails to thoroughly develop students' critical reasoning skills, and the brain rot phenomenon exacerbates this issue. For this reason, this research aims to examine collaboration between libraries and education as a strategy in regenerating students' critical reasoning power amid the current massive digitalization. The method used in this study involves library research, examining various sources such as scientific literature, books, journals, and papers on literacy, critical pedagogy, and the transformation of library functions in the modern education system. The main result of this study shows that the synergy between libraries and education can be a practical approach to restoring students' critical thinking skills. Libraries now serve not only as storage spaces for collections, but also as learning spaces that can foster intellectual exploration, collaboration, and reflection for students. Through the integration between librarians and educators, students are encouraged to access, critique, and utilize information in a deep and meaningful way. The findings also confirm that collaboration between libraries and education is a strategic step to address the brain rot phenomenon and restore education's primary function as a place to develop students' critical reasoning. Thus, the synergy of libraries and pedagogy is key in rebuilding the awareness of deep thinking in the midst of a fast-paced and instant digital society.
2026-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Sela Fajar Ariani, Nur Husniyatul Adyani https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1718 Sustainable Discourse Representations of English in Islamic Educational Journals: Critical Development of Academically and Functionally Meaningful Values 2025-12-22T20:16:29+07:00 Yohan Yohan yohannuryahya17@gmail.com Andi Faisal Bakti yohannuryahya17@gmail.com Dede Rosyada yohannuryahya17@gmail.com Ratna Sari Dewi yohannuryahya17@gmail.com Kustiwan Syarief yohannuryahya17@gmail.com
The empowerment of Islamic education conducted through knowledge production and published periodically by Islamic educational publishers unconsciously increased the dominant discourse of English discursive representations in some Islamic higher educational journals. Academical-functional clashes of interlanguage use seemed to be common phenomena because they were packaged virtually by sophisticated digital technology through open access journal system. These issues remained the critical questions and demanding reflections. This study was aimed at analyzing the dominant representational discursive relations focusing particularly on the major elements of representational discursive modes of English language in open access Islamic educational journals, appraising social-functional connecting discursive modes and the related negative impacts of English dominances in institutional, situational, and social domains, and recommending alternative critical reflections for the sustainable development of scientific discourse in Islamic educational knowledge contexts. This study used critical discourse analysis, supported analytically by the perspective of systemic functional linguistic–particularly on mood systems and reflectively mediated by the perspectives of Islamic concepts. The results showed that the academical-functional discursive representations of open access Islamic educational journals dominated by high frequency of verbal operators with high modes volume. Such representational discursive domination might impact on creating unfairness of institutional-standardized domain, financial-situated domain, and language use in social domain for authors as well as public readers–with diverse cultural backgrounds–and the sustainable development of scientific discourse in Islamic educational knowledge context. Such dominant discursive representations should be alternatively reflected by critical discursive reflections: mediated through Islamic educational concepts, i.e. tarbiyah (educating, empowering, and developing) and tanwir (enlightening, educating, and innovating), and then moderated by cross-culture Islamic communication, i.e. adil (fairness and equality), amanah (reliable, accountable and responsible), wasathiyah (moderation and neutrality), and siddik

(reasonable and rational/proportional). Hopefully, this research outcomes might contribute to compensate the proportional limits of representational foreign discourse dominated by high frequency and volume of representational modes of English language that might implicate unfairly on the future balancing and equality of academically and functionally meaningful values on Islamic educational knowledge developments through open access scientific publications.
2026-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Yohan Yohan, Andi Faisal Bakti, Dede Rosyada, Ratna Sari Dewi, Kustiwan Syarief https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1658 Bibliometric Mapping of Global Research Trends in Curriculum Integration Education 2025-12-10T06:44:58+07:00 Shidiq Agung Sutrisno shidiqagungsutrisno33@gmail.com
This research aims to map the development and research trends in "curriculum integration education" through an analysis of Scopus-indexed publications. This model not only focuses on linguistic mastery but also aims to cultivate character, spiritual awareness, and balanced human values. In today’s era of rapid technological advancement and scientific innovation, the humanistic approach has become increasingly relevant in Arabic language learning to ensure alignment with Tawhid-based values. This article aims to describe the concept and implementation of a humanistic Arabic learning model that integrates scientific innovations—such as digital media, online learning platforms, and artificial intelligence (AI)—with Islamic faith and spirituality.Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study draws on literature review and observation of teaching practices in Islamic educational institutions. The findings indicate that combining a humanistic approach with scientific innovation fosters an interactive, meaningful, and holistic learning process that enhances both linguistic competence and personal development. Tawhid serves as the philosophical foundation that directs every learning activity toward the goals of Islamic education—forming individuals who are knowledgeable, faithful, and morally upright. Moreover, the integration of scientific innovation and Tawhid values in Arabic learning cultivates communicative, spiritual, empathetic, and collaborative learners. This model not only improves Arabic language proficiency but also strengthens students’ moral and ethical sensibilities in line with Islamic principles. Therefore, the humanistic Arabic language learning model that integrates scientific innovation and Tawhid values stands as a strategic educational paradigm for promoting justice, sustainability, and the holistic development of Islamic character in modern education.
2026-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Ibnul Mutaqi, Novia Dwi Nurcahyaningtias https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1681 Why are artificial and natural intelligence? 2025-12-27T07:23:01+07:00 Adhi Setiyawan adhi.setiyawan@uin-suka.ac.id
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Intelligence (NI) are often positioned as opposing entities, even interchangeable. However, limited attention is given to global competencies such as digital literacy, critical thinking, and citizenship. The systematic review of 15 empirical studies further indicates that most P5 implementations adopt folktale-based learning, ecoliteracy projects, and digital literacy initiatives. Despite their relevance, these interventions are generally short-term, target only partial dimensions of P5, and lack standardized assessment frameworks for affective and dispositional outcomes. PAI plays a central role in shaping the character and spirituality of students, including those with hearing
impairments. However, communication barriers in deaf students often become a major obstacle in understanding abstract
religious concepts. Therefore, this study examines the adjustment of relevant learning materials and methods so that Islamic
values can be conveyed effectively. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques
through documentation studies, interviews with PAI teachers in phases D, E, and F at the Cicendo State Special School (SLBN)
in Bandung City, and literature studies. Data analysis was carried out through reduction, categorization, interpretation, and
narrative presentation of the results. The results show that the objectives of PAI learning for deaf students include developing
correct faith, understanding Islamic religious principles, and character formation that upholds the values of unity and
diversity. PAI learning needs to be adapted to the characteristics of deaf students to ensure the material delivered is relevant
and acceptable. These findings contribute to the development of more effective PAI teaching methods for students with special
needs, as well as serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in designing an inclusive and adaptive curriculum. The
application of the Maternal Reflective Method (MMR) has proven effective in improving students' communication and
comprehension skills, as it prioritizes natural, experience-based conversations supported by visual media. The conclusion of
this study confirms that optimizing PAI materials for deaf students requires a contextual, adaptive, and inclusive approach.
By implementing appropriate learning methods such as MMR, deaf students can more easily understand and internalize
Islamic values, so that the goal of religious education to shape faithful, moral, and independent individuals can be optimally
achieved.
2026-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Risma Putri Rahayu, Syahidin Syahidin, Agus Fakhruddin, Saepul Anwar https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1846 Deep Learning Approach as an Effective Strategy for HOTS Skill Development for Grade 2 MTs Wali Songo Students in Muthola'ah Subjects 2026-06-24T09:43:40+07:00 Annida Azka Putri Salsabila annidaazka0@gmail.com Neny Qurrota A'yun annidaazka0@gmail.com
Muthola'ah learning is a subject that focuses on a deep understanding of Arabic texts, which requires critical and analytical thinking skills from students. However, in practice, the learning process still tends to be textual and centered on memorization, so it has not been able to encourage the development of high-level thinking skills (HOTS). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the deep learning approach in developing the high-level thinking skills (HOTS) of second-grade MTs Wali Songo students in the subject of Muthola'ah. The deep learning approach emphasizes students' deep understanding and reflective ability to interpret teaching materials. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study are teachers and 2nd grade students of MTs Wali Songo who are involved in the Muthola'ah learning process. The results show that the deep learning approach is able to create an active, collaborative, and reflective learning environment. Students show improved ability to understand the meaning of the text and relate the content of the reading to the context of life. Teachers are also experiencing a shift in teaching strategies that focus more on conceptual understanding than just recitation or memorization. Thus, the deep learning approach has proven to be effective in developing students' high-level thinking skills (HOTS), especially in Muthola'ah learning, and can be an alternative learning strategy that is relevant in the madrasah environment.
2026-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Annida Azka Putri Salsabila, Neny Qurrota A'yun https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1850 The Connection Between Faith-Based Values and Learning Motivation in English Language Education 2026-06-25T08:03:20+07:00 Putri Amalia putriamaliah840@gmail.com Suci Ramadani putriamaliah840@gmail.com Reski Nur Fadillah putriamaliah840@gmail.com Rahma Melati putriamaliah840@gmail.com
This article examines the dynamic relationship between values derived from religious beliefs and learning motivation in the field of English Language Education. Unlike research that relies on primary data, this study adopts a qualitative literature research methodology to examine and synthesize various previous theories and empirical findings in the fields of religious psychology and foreign language learning motivation. The core of this discussion argues that religious beliefs can serve as a profound psychological foundation and drive students' intrinsic motivation in learning a foreign language. Through thematic analysis, three main mechanisms were identified that mediate this relationship: instrumental piety, where English is viewed as a tool for religious purposes such as proselytizing; religious learning ethics, which apply religiously-taught values such as perseverance and discipline into the learning process; and the formation of a contributive identity, which motivates students to master English in order to contribute to their religious community globally. The implications of this study emphasize the need for pedagogical approaches that acknowledge spiritual dimensions as an integral part of learning motivation. Thus, this article not only enriches the theoretical discourse on foreign language motivation but also offers a conceptual basis for developing more meaningful and contextual learning environments in educational institutions based on religious values.
2026-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Putri Amalia, Suci Ramadani, Reski Nur Fadillah, Rahma Melati https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1669 Literacy Policy from the 2013 Curriculum to the Independent Curriculum Through Indonesian Language Exam Questions 2025-12-12T09:15:41+07:00 Kunti Zahrotun Alfi kunti.alfi@uinjusila.ac.id Vita Diah Setyoningrum vdiah09@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze questions on the Indonesian national exam and review literacy policies in Indonesia. This research was conducted by analyzing the content of the questions, the variety of texts used, and the integration of literacy skills in Indonesian questions with literacy policies. Indonesian language exam questions have an important role in developing the ability to understand, analyze, inform, and interpret texts on literacy policies in Indonesia. The method used in this research is a documentary analysis of Indonesian language exam questions from the 2013 curriculum to the independence curriculum. The results of the study show that literacy policies in Indonesia can be reflected in questions on the Indonesian national exam. The literacy developed in the 2013 curriculum questions includes reading and writing literacy, numeracy literacy, and cultural literacy. The main focus is literacy in reading and writing. Furthermore, in 2020, the national exam will be abolished so that the questions focus on independent literacy by students through school exams. From 2021 until now, literacy has been the main focus to be developed. This is done by combining several subjects in the form of text literacy. Through the existing questions, students are expected to develop better critical and analytical thinking skills. As well as encouraging better student literacy.
2026-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Kunti Zahrotun Alfi, Vita Diah Setyoningrum https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1851 Deadline Culture and AI Dependence: A Deep Learning Analysis of Students' Academic Behavior in The Digital Era 2026-06-25T10:32:03+07:00 Ni'matul Maghfiroh firoh.nikma2@gmail.com Zahrotul Alaniyah firoh.nikma2@gmail.com M Khoirul Hadi Al Asyari firoh.nikma2@gmail.com
In the midst of the widespread use of AI in academic activities, the phenomenon of deadline culture is increasingly seen as a factor that significantly shapes student learning behavior. The purpose of this study is to analyze how deadline culture encourages students to rely on AI as a quick strategy in completing tasks. The analysis is carried out through surveys and digital logs so that the phenomenon is seen empirically and objectively. The second goal is to explore the potential of deep learning in mapping AI usage patterns, including interaction time, intensity, and anomalies that appear before deadlines. This study uses a qualitative approach of the type of literature study with primary data from the book Deep Learning by Ian Goodfellow, Yoshua Bengio, and Aaron Courville as well as secondary data from books and articles relevant to this study. The results of this study are, first, showing that deadline culture plays a major trigger for the increase in students' dependence on AI, which can be seen through the acceleration of the use of this technology before the deadline, the shift in learning objectives from understanding to task completion, and the emergence of cognitive offloading patterns that weaken independent thinking. Second, this study shows that deep learning is effective as an analytical tool to map students' academic behavior patterns, including the intensity of AI use, the type of task that triggers dependence, the motive for digital behavior, and the potential risk of academic dependence.
2026-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Ni'matul Maghfiroh, Zahrotul Alaniyah, M Khoirul Hadi Al Asyari https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1852 Students’ Perceptions of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Learning in Elementary Schools (SD) and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) 2026-06-25T11:14:03+07:00 Arfa Kurnia Pratama rahmarfa24@gmail.com Luthfi Dika Ramadan rahmarfa24@gmail.com Muhammad Faiz rahmarfa24@gmail.com Muhamad Arifin rahmarfa24@gmail.com Irsyadul Manan rahmarfa24@gmail.com Solikhudin Solikhudin rahmarfa24@gmail.com Siti Fatimah rahmarfa24@gmail.com Faisal Faisal rahmarfa24@gmail.com Umi Arifah rahmarfa24@gmail.com Fibriyan Irodati rahmarfa24@gmail.com Agus Salim Chamidji rahmarfa24@gmail.com
The learning of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays an important role in shaping the religious and moral character of students from elementary school age. Qualitative research is an interpretative methodology aimed at gaining a deep understanding of social phenomena through subjective experiences (Feuer & Makarov, 2024). This type of research includes literature reviews or library research (Najili et al., 2022). In this study, the researcher used data analysis techniques offered by Miles and Huberman, which involve exploring and reviewing data until saturated data is obtained, carried out by collecting all data, then reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that 21st-century education requires the integration of a flexible curriculum, active and interactive learning methods, and the role of highly qualified teachers who are adaptive to technology. All of this cannot be separated from the representation of character and ethical values in learning. For further research, it is recommended to examine more deeply how these approaches can be practically implemented across all levels of education to prepare students for the challenges of globalization and digitalization.
2026-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Hamdi Hamdi, Mazrur Mazrur, Rodhatul Jennah, Zaitun Nasya, Amel Kusnatul, Dewi Rahmawati https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1855 Characteristics of Learning Environments in Communities and Madrasahs in Supporting the Learning Process: A Study of Integrative Analysis Using NVivo 12 Software and Bibliometric Analysis 2026-06-25T14:29:14+07:00 Hamdi Hamdi hamdiansyah73@gmail.com Jasiah Jasiah hamdiansyah73@gmail.com Khairunisa Khairunisa hamdiansyah73@gmail.com Rina Lisnawati hamdiansyah73@gmail.com Ali Anhar Syi'bul Huda hamdiansyah73@gmail.com
The purpose of this research is to describe the characteristics of the learning environment in the community and madrasahs to support the learning process. This research design uses a qualitative type to elaborate on the research results. (Ulhaq, 2023), The subjects of the research are the Head of the madrasa, 4 teachers, and 2 students. The techniques for data collection used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis in this study integrates bibliometric analysis to review the latest research recommendations with qualitative analysis using NVivo 12 software. This research is based on bibliometric analysis that had been previously conducted using Publish or Perish (POP) and VOSViewer, which show that the topic of the learning process related to the community environment and madrasa is still rarely researched. The analysis is integrated with qualitative analysis using NVivo 12, which identifies three themes: characteristics of the community (values and learning), school environment (students, education, madrasa), and the relationship between community characteristics and schools is closely linked to the context (support and interaction). Thus, the characteristics of the learning environment in the community and madrasah can support the learning process. The implications of this research are to provide scientific contributions in creating a good learning environment for students, not only focused on the school environment, but the research also provides useful implications for schools to implement collaboration with the community environment to achieve a more meaningful learning process.
2026-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Hamdi Hamdi, Jasiah Jasiah, Khairunisa Khairunisa, Rina Lisnawati, Ali Anhar Syi'bul Huda https://sunankalijaga.org/prosiding/index.php/icrse/article/view/1702 Democratic participation of Indonesian high school students through student councils: A systematic literature review 2025-12-18T15:46:29+07:00 Luluk Siti Jariyah luluksiti10@gmail.com Endah Binti Munawaroh endahbinti5@gmail.com Idang Ramadhan idangrama64@gmail.com
Strengthening democratic values among the younger generation is a crucial mandate of civic education, and the Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS) serves as a primary vehicle for facilitating student participation in school life. However, the effectiveness of OSIS as an authentic democratic learning arena remains understudied. This study aims to synthesize empirical evidence on the forms of student democratic participation, the factors that facilitate and hinder engagement, and the impact of participation on the development of civic competencies. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following PRISMA guidelines. A search of ERIC, Scopus, Scilit, Google Scholar, and Garuda databases yielded 804 records. After a multi-layered selection process, 32 studies met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using a thematic synthesis approach. The synthesis results indicate that student democratic participation through OSIS is multidimensional, encompassing electoral, deliberative, collaborative, social, and digital participation. Factors facilitating participation include support from supervising teachers and the principal, a democratic school climate, providing space for student voice, and leadership training. Meanwhile, key obstacles include a hierarchical school culture, teacher dominance in decision-making, low levels of democratic literacy, and varying student motivation. Cross-study findings indicate that student council involvement significantly contributes to the development of civic competencies, such as leadership, self-confidence, self-efficacy, critical thinking, discipline, and political literacy. Overall, student council (OSIS) has strong potential as a laboratory of democracy in Indonesian secondary schools. However, optimizing its role requires expanding the space for meaningful participation and redistributing authority that gives students substantive influence in the decision-making process.
2026-06-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Luluk Siti Jariyah, Endah Binti Munawaroh; Idang Ramadhan
