Abstract

Abstrak. Delima termasuk buah yang manfaat sebagaimana tertera dalam QS. Al-An’am [6]: 99, QS. Al-An’am [6]: 141 dan QS.
Ar-Rahman [55]: 68. Dewasa ini, penelitian mengenai buah dan daun pohon delima telah banyak dilakukan, yang kegunaannya untuk
berbagai macam obat. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti berusaha menemukan potensi kandungan metabolit sekunder pada bagian tubuh
lain yakni batang pohon delima. Penelitian ini selain mengambil inspirasi dari beberapa ayat mengenai delima, juga mengangkat
konsep mengenai penciptaan Allah yang tiada sia-sia (QS. Ali Imran [3]: 191). Berangkat dari ayat kauniah dan paradigma
Islam-Sains tersebut, perlu diadakan penelitian mengenai pohon delima lebih lanjut. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti mengambil ekstrak
batang delima sebagai sampel uji. Bahan penelitian yaitu batang pohon delima didapatkan dari daerah Sekaran, Gunungpati,
Semarang, Jawa Tengah. Preparasi bahan dilakukan dengan mengeringkan batang pada suhu kamar (25oC). Batang yang sudah
dikeringkan dan dihaluskan kemudian diekstraksi maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol, pada suhu ruangan (25oC) selama 3 x 24
jam. Selanjutnya, hasil ekstraksi dipisahkan dengan pelarutnya menggunakan rotary evaporator, pada suhu 70oC, dengan kecepatan
60 RPM. Hasil kandungan batang delima dianalisis dengan metode analisis kualitatif fitokimia dan juga dengan instrument GC-MS
(Gas Chromatography – Mass Spectrometer). Hasil penelitian kandungan batang delima ini positif mengandung beberapa metabolit
sekunder seperti Alkaloid, Fenol, Tanin, Steroid dan Terpenoid. Senyawa potensial lainnya yaitu Pyrrolidine,
HydroxyCholecalciferol (Calcifediol atau Alfacalcidiol), Decaborane, dan Morpholine.
