Abstract

This paper examines the construct of acceptance as a core component of emotional intelligence and character development. Acceptance is defined as the conscious recognition of personal and external realities, encompassing self-limitations and the diversity of others. The main aim of this study is to analyze how acceptance operates as a transformative process that enhances emotional regulation, resilience, and empathy, thereby fostering interpersonal harmony and social adaptation. The paper employs a conceptual analysis approach that integrates psychological, educational, and moral philosophical perspectives to deepen understanding of the role of acceptance in shaping emotional and ethical growth.
