Abstract

This research aims to determine the morphological characteristics of the bird's nest fern (Asplenium nidus L.) in the Wisdom Park UGM area. The study employs a purposive sampling research method to obtain data and identify the morphological traits of the bird's nest fern (Asplenium nidus L.). Morphological character observations were conducted directly in the field. The field research took place in the Wisdom Park UGM area. This study examines five characteristics of (Asplenium nidus L.), including habitus, leaves, sorus arrangement, roots, and stems. The leaves of (Asplenium nidus L.) are elongated, arranged in a circular pattern on a creeping rhizome, and range in color from light to dark green with a glossy surface. The sorus of (Asplenium nidus L.) is yellowish-brown and has a net-like ornamentation. The roots of (Asplenium nidus L.) are fibrous, while the stem is dark brown to grayish-black.
